Distributed revision control is all the rage these days: a large
number of both open source and proprietary projects have already
switched away from legacy systems such as CVS and Subversion. Mozilla
Firefox and OpenOffice.org are two examples of huge projects that have
successfully migrated to Mercurial.
In this talk you will learn what distributed revision control is and
why you will want to begin using it. Mercurial is written in Python
and you will see how easy it is to write Mercurial extensions using
Python.
The talk is by Martin Geisler, a core Mercurial developer who works at
Aragost Trifork as a Mercurial consultant.
The office is on the fifth floor at:
Buckhauserstrasse 40, Zurich
