Abstract:

"Celery is an asynchronous task queue/job queue based on distributed message passing."
(celeryproject.org)

Through the course of my presentation, I plan to provide some code samples and answer the following key questions:

  • What is Celery?
  • How is Celery useful?
  • What is a 'task'?
  • What are the supported message brokers?
  • How are results stored?
  • How do you configure and tweak Celery?
